Cut, bleeding and chap lips were what my lips used to be before this holy grail lip balm. I have some many childhood memories of my super dry and painful lips. This balm has saved my lips. I have never found a better lip product so far even though I think I might have found a dupe.

The formula
The formula is far from being perfect hence why I have been searching for a better dupe.
This balm is water and humectants free which is perfect for lips. Lips need to be coated with rich emollients and occlusives to lock in for good the water.
Emollients and occlusives
Beeswax, shea butter, a blend of vegetable triglycerides, sweet almond oil, a silicone-based wax (Behenoxy Dimethicone), caprylic/capric triglycerides, rose seed oils…
I think the combo of beeswax and shea butter is the game-changer in this balm.
Antioxidants
Two forms of vitamin E.
Perfumes and essential oils:
This balm is not heavily scented but has numerous fragrant components: citrusy essentials oil and derivatives: grapefruit, lemon, limonene, citral, linalool, and geraniol.
Notorious allergens
Perfumes, essentials oils, honey, and propolis.
My conclusions
When I review a product I try to give as much as cons as I can to help you to make a wise choice. This lip balm restores, heals, repairs and gives long-lasting results. The combination of emollients is perfect for the lips. However, there a lot of icky ingredients that can sensitize your lips. If you are allergic to any fragrant component this balm is not for you. Stay tuned for more because I think I have found a dupe irritant-free.
