Sunscreen extravaganza: Talk and recommendations
One of my favorite topics is sunscreen! Sunscreen is not going to give you amazing skin in the short term but it will keep your skin looking young longer and healthy.
Sun and skin cancer
Whatever your skin color is you need to wear a sunscreen of SPF30 or above to protect your skin from skin cancer. There is no way around it. When you know you will be under the sun for a long period of time you have to wear sunblock. The best advice that I can get is too always be prepared. Have a sunscreen in your bag, wear your sunglasses, wear a big hat and protective clothing. Each time I go on holidays I always witness guys and girls wearing a tank top under the heat of the sun. This is a big no-no.
Sun and aging
Personally, I don’t follow the medical advice because I want to keep my skin healthy and young for the longest possible. Therefore, I am much stricter regarding sun protection. If you are concerned about anti-aging you need to wear a sunscreen every single day broad spectrum, with excellent filtration of UVAI and SPF50+.
There is this common myth that SPF30 provides similar protection than SPF50+. I have an article on this subject (click here). An SPF50+ filter UVB twice as more as an SPF30. This a substantial difference. Another significant difference is the UVA protection factor that is higher in SPF50+ compare to SPF30. This is always accurate with EU sunscreen.
I understand that it is very challenging to find a good sunscreen for everyday life. Which is why I advise having two types of sunscreen. One for everyday life when you are not exposed to direct sunlight and one hardcore that will filter more UVA and UVB.
In my video, I recommend different sunscreen to help you choose the best sunscreen for you. There are all SPF50+. I will continue reviewing sunscreen. In the end, what matters is that you enjoy wearing your sunscreen.
Thank you for reading me.
